The Main Street Wauchula "Adopt - A - Pole" project Decorating Downtown for Christmas is a pole decorating contest where local businesses and nonprofit organizations participate in picking out a pole along Main Street in downtown Wauchula and they decorate these poles with what they feel what Christmas means to them but keeping it with in the theme "12 Days of Christmas".
This event is now in it's second year and is a great success as many businesses and nonprofit organizations participated in what's now an annual event. These businesses and nonprofit organizations are then judged by the Main Street Wauchula committee.
There are two prize categories:
Best Business - prize is $100 in advertising of your choice.
Best Non - Profit - prize is $100 dollar cash donation.
The judging is over and we finally have our winners of the Adopt-A-Pole decorating contest. Winning for the non-profit category is Florida Hospital and for the business category is Cat's on Main. Just check out the pole photos below. It really does make downtown look festive for the holidays.
