Many proud parents and students attended the 2011 4 - H & FFA Award Banquet held at the Hardee County Civic Center last night for a great night of awards, recognition, food and of course money. As you can see by the photos their were a lot of smiling faces at this event. It all started with a Pledge of Allegiance, followed by prayer by Preacher Jim Davis. Sponsor and Speaker Jay Clark and Awards Presenters where Teresa Carver - Rabbits, Joy Roberts - Poultry, Tami Hunt - Dairy , Dick Roe & Tommy Taylor - Swine , Jason Clark & David Royal - Best Breeding , David Royal & Jason Clark - Steers , David Royal Recognized Graduating Seniors. Photos of these students and animals with purchaser were also given to them in a framed plaque. Speaker Jay Clark expressed that these students raised the most money overall than any other county in the state. David Royal said that legislation are changing the rules the agricultural industry which is going to hurt agriculture in Florida and asked that students & parents get involved with politics regarding agricultural rule making.
