For All Intereted in showing a Steer or Heifer

We will have a halter breaking demonstration by Matt Warren on 
different techniques on getting that steer or heifer broke. This is for 
beginners as well as novice. There will be information on selecting that next show calf and proper nutrition as well.

Matt Warren was instructing those who participated in the process of Halter Breaking your Steer or Heifer this is a just one of the series of preparing your steer or heifer for showing competition. In this weeks halter breaking Matt shared some tips on how to rope your steer or heifer, he said you shouldn't tie rope to high. Work with your animal for about 45 minutes.
Some Tips 
● When their head is down that gives them more strength
● Keep your animal cool at competition by using a fan to keep it cool
● Showman Stick you should be taller than the stick and you should be able to touch its rear hoof while standing in front of his head.
● Look at the judge from the minute you are judged keep constant eye contact with them.
● You can have your steer or heifer be too fat so make sure you feed it right portions
