The 2013 District Teacher of the Year

Kristen Rivas - Wauchula Elementary

Thursday afternoon at the Hardee County Agri-Civic Center in Wauchula, it was the 2013 Hardee District Schools Presents: The 2013 Teacher of the Year Awards honoring Teachers & School Related Personnel. What a great way to end a day of Education with educators starting with the 2013 Science & Engineering EXPO at the Hardee Junior High to an evening honoring our fine educators for their dedication to education. The evening started with the welcoming and introduction of Master of Ceremonies David D. Durastanti Superintendent of Schools, and then there was the Presentation of Colors under the command of Lt. Col. Anthony Hingle Hardee Senior High ROTC. The Pledge of Allegiance was by Kaylee Mancillas, President of National Honor Society. The National Anthem was sung by Cassie Reyna, Hardee Senior High Varsity Chorus, the Invocation was Paul Samuels, School Board Member and the Introduction was by Thomas Trevino, Master of Ceremonies. Afterwards Dinner was served the 4H Club of Hardee County at the same time there were remarks from Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union, Wauchula Service Center Tasha Coates – Manager, Century Link Brian Hamman, Manager of Market Development followed by the 2012 Teacher of the Year Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Hingle, Senior Aerospace Science Instructor.
