2nd Annual Relay For Life Charity Golf Tournament Saturday 26, 2013.

Situated in Zolfo Springs area the Bluff's Golf Course was the place to be with this tournament being the first tournament of the New Year and for a good cause too. This years title sponsor was the same as last year Vandolah Power Company and Gold sponsor Mosaic and Car Sponsor Alan Jay Automotive Network.

Saturday January 26, 2013 It's the 2nd Annual Relay For Life Charity Golf Tournament and the first golf tournament of the New Year for Hardee County. Golfers from all over attended the great charity event at the Bluff's Golf Course in Zolfo Springs, Fl. Golfers were greeted with smiles and were helped with registration for the tournament. 

It was a cold morning to start with but later it warmed up really nicely making it a pleasant day for a round of golf. Golfers got a chance to get some hot coffee and a light breakfast before heading out to play. The final numbers were 23 four man teams for this tournament. 

The purpose of the tournament is to raise funds for the American Cancer Society of Hardee County.The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

After players finished their round of golf they were provided with lunch prepared by the CYO of the St. Micheal's Church in Wauchula. 
Lead by Ernest Aguilar and members of the CYO staff prepared BBQ Dinners which included Chicken & Ribs, baked beans, slaw, rolls and drinks they were raised money for their team and they donated the proceeds to Relay For Life hat's off to the CYO Team for their charitable donation. 

After lunch the awards ceremonies began with special recognition of  title sponsor Vandolah Power and Gold sponsor Mosaic for their support of the American Cancer Society of Hardee County.

After the special awards ceremonies the first, second and third place winners of the tournament were announced and they are as followed: 

1st Place winners were Tom Faye, "Da Bear," Bill Pruitt, and Fred Myers, 

2nd Place winners Thomas Trevino, Brad Ellis, Jan Dillon and Gerry Boyce  

3rd Place winners Robbie Jones, Justin Painter, Caleb Saunders Ryan Boehm

Congratulations to the winners and those who participated. After the awards was the raffle of the prizes which included an IPad, a Yetti cooler, Coasta glasses, gift cards, radio,  and much more.
