Saturday January 19th, at the Hardee County Civic Center, it’s the Project Graduation 2013 Miss Project Graduation Pageant. This event is all part of the Project Graduation of Hardee County. Saturday night pageant is where the graduating boys participate in showing off their talent dressed up like their favorite female star. This event is always a funny event because the boys go all out to empress the judges. There were a few public officials and notable guests that attended the pageant. Also for the first time at the pageant there some delicious cakes up for auction both online and at the pageant, there was one cake that went as high as $100 in the biting war.

The Project Graduation 2013 is organized to by a committee that plan events and fundraisers to support the graduating seniors. The goal of Project Graduation is to provide an alcohol free, fun, memorable experience to this year’s graduating class. The night of graduation, the graduating class is invited to Wet – N – Wild Water Park for an all night celebration compliments of Project Graduation. This year’s committee has several fundraisers planned to make this possible. The committee would like to encourage you to join them in their effort and take part in these events on the behalf of the graduating class of 2013. The following are upcoming events that they would love to have you participate in: January 29th, Meeting: 6:00 pm Wauchula Elementary School, February 9th, Sadie Hawkins Sweetheart Dance, February 16 – 23 Fair Parking assistance Hardee County Fair, March 23rd Golf Tournament (tentative date), April 13th Powder Puff Football Game / BBQ Dinner.
