Community Health Fair 2013
Thursday January 17th in Bowling Green Florida It was the Community Health Fair 2013 this is an annual event where organizers invite health providers, companies and organizations in the health field to come out to educate the public at this event. The local community is invited as well and they get a chance to see and participate in all kinds of medical screening for free and learn
about some of the latest in medical news, and services available. There was free phones for the hearing impaired, services like hire a daughter which is a company that will drive patients to and from their doctors appointments, there were a couple of companies that provided in home services for the elderly, respiratory supply company, organ donation organization they got folks signed up, there were diabetic shoes and orthoics company with shoes on display and a law office of Michael L. Keiber, PA to help with wills, living wills and more, there was a local pharmacy, with some specials on some medications and a company that provides a health care center in Lake Placid. At the event there were raffles of gifts donated by each organization or company.Organizers provided a continental style breakfast for those who showed up and a great facility for the event. Special thanks to Bowling Green United Methodist Church and their staff. This was a great event with lots of free screening,information and materials to share with family and friends.
