The Main Street Wauchula 3rd Annual Trail Ride
also known as Hoofin’ It Of Main was held Saturday November 10, 2012 at CF Industries property off St. Rd 663. The trail ride begins with pre-registration prior to the ride and for those who show up with horse or horses could
register at the check in / registration table. There folk had coffee and doughnuts, after getting their horses ready, riders got a chance to mount there horse and warmed up. This morning was a cool one a great morning for to experience the beauty of Florida nature and be part of a half day, fun filled ride and fundraiser through forested wilderness, pasture land and across beautiful streams! Thanks to CF Industries, for a nice piece of property and sponsors of the event. The trail was miles and it took about 2 and half hours to complete the journey. Riders got a chance half way to get off horses to take a breather as horses got water and riders got some refreshments. After a brief moment everyone got back on their horses and made their way back to the starting area of the CF Industries properties. After returning back to the starting point riders got lunch a BBQ dinner and drinks and enjoyed a picnic setting under some shady trees while folks were finishing up lunch, there was an awards ceremony where awards were given out to certain riders who were noticed during the ride as somewhat funny or interesting. Some of the awards read like this “Mr. Ed” Award, “The Gabby” Award, Glamour Award, etc. Everyone enjoyed the ride and suggested if they could do this twice a year. Organizers are going to see about doing the trail ride this spring, so it’s in the works, but the next ride which will be the 4th Annual Trail Ride will be held next year on November 9th, 2013 so mark your calendars.
