Clayton Jimmie Louis Corson age 16 of Zolfo Springs passed away Tuesday July 17, 2012 at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. He was born December 7, 1995 in Winter Park, FL and moved to Hardee County as an infant.
Clayton enjoyed hunting, riding horses and playing video games. He is survived by his parents Doug and Lisa Corson of Zolfo Springs; two brothers Cole Corson and wife Jara of Lorida, Catlin Corson of Zolfo Springs; two sisters Camelia Rose Corson, Callie Mae Corson both of Zolfo Springs.
Organizers who put on the event said this fundraiser was in memory of Clayton and his family and money raised is in honor of Clayton. The event started with a Live Auction & Silent Auction of items donated by families and businesses items ranging from gift baskets to horse saddles. There was BBQ dinners and drinks for lunch and some of the beautiful horses around.
After the auction around 4 pm the rodeo started, ranchers, cowboys and cowgirls came out and showed what it’s like on a ranch on a day to day bases. But today they were competing in all kinds of events like Wood Tying, Team Sorting, Calf Branding, Double Mugging and Bronc Riding. It was an exciting show as family; friends and spectators enjoyed their afternoon at the Cattlemen’s Arena.
