Winner of the oldest attendee at the age of 97 congratulations!Winners of the couple married the least amount of time of only 4 days. Not on site was winners of couple married the longest time was a couple married 71 years amazing.Jose Vasquez had the ticket of the very first number called and he chose the TV instead of the truck. Steven and Irene May had the second ticket called and they chose the truck. a 2000 Ford F-150 Extended Cab Truck valued at 8,000.00. Congratulations!
Saturday March 10, 2012 Socialhardee.com was at the Peace River Electric Cooperative’s 72nd Annual Membership Meeting held at PRECO PARK 220 Knights Road Wauchula, Florida. 

This annual event has always been a big turnout and this year’s was no different with over some 1500 people attending.  At 11:00 am Food, Fun, Entertainment and Games began and at 1:00pm the Membership Meeting began with opening ceremonies including HSH ROTC Color Guard presenting the Colors at Pledge of Allegiance and followed by the Invocation and the singing of “God Bless America”. 

PRECO’s General Manger & CEO William T. Mulcay announced that this year’s theme was “Honoring our First Responders” recognizing and honoring the Hardee County Sheriff’s Office, Wauchula Police Department, St. Cloud P.D., Hardee County SWAT, Hardee County Fire & Rescue, Paynes Creek Park, Florida Wildlife Commission, American Red Cross, Emergency Management from Hardee and Manatee Counties. Also appearing was the Trauma Helicopter which landed out front of the pavilion and they gave folks a look see at the helicopter and explained how they work with equipment in an emergency situation. 

Members checked in and they got a goody bag with some nice things inside, signed up for Door Prizes and there were lots of them.  They registered for a chance to win a 2000 Ford F-150 Extended Cab pickup. The food was Free such as Ice Cream, Hotdogs, Nachos, Popcorn, Kettle corn, Snow Cones and much more.

Everyone enjoyed the event, General Manager & CEO William T. Mulcay said we are family we are like cousins.  Then they gave out awards with gift cards, the first was for the youngest person in the audience and the winner was a 2 1/2 month old boy, next was for the oldest person in attendance and the winner was a man 97 years young.  The next award was for the couple who was married least amount of time and the winner was a couple that had been married for 4 days, followed by the couple married the longest time and the winner was a couple married for 71 years. 

After that GM & CEO William T. Mulcay announced that the first number called can elect any prize weather the truck, TV, etc. and the first number was called and Jose Vasquez chose the TV in stead of the truck. Then the second number was called and Steven & Irene May came forward and chose the truck.
