Saturday April 14 thru Sunday April 15 its The Mosaic 32nd Annual Athletic Benefit Golf Tournament at the Torrey Oaks Golf Course in Bowling Green, Florida. The Mosaic sponsored Golf Tournament must be one of the oldest consecutive tournaments in Hardee County.
This weekend was just an awesome weekend to play golf; some 130 players came out to play in this two day tournament for a good cause. There were 6 flight groups of golf to play for golfers. First there was the 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st, and Championship flight and five winners in each flight.
Each player receives green fee and cart, lunch, tournament gifts and the opportunity to win fantastic door prizes! At the 10th hole players have a chance to win a new 2012 Chevrolet Silverado truck if player gets a hole – in – one. Well now one won the truck there was some that got close but not in the hole.
Players participating in this tournament will allow the Hardee Athletic Foundation the opportunity to continue to provide Recreation & Sports equipment to the students participating in sports as well as scholarships in Hardee County. Thanks to Mosaic this is their biggest fundraiser of the year for the Athletic Foundation.
The Athletic Foundation members have donated countless service hours and raised money to benefit many worthy causes in the education of so many students in Hardee County.
