October 19th 2012 it’s Friday Night Lives’ 3rd annual Fall Festival in beautiful downtown Wauchula’s Main Street. The Hardee County Ministerial Association partnered with Peace River Electric Cooperative to provide booths that stretched across Main Street from 8th Street to 5th Street. Between US 17 South and US 27 North there was the costume contest which started at 7pm which included ages from adults to under 2 years of age. The contestants were judged based on the scariest, cutest and most creative costume.
The “Fall Festival” had a record number of attendance, families came out for a nice afternoon on Main Street which included numerous events of entertainment for all ages. Families and businesses could bring a home created scarecrow to display at
Heritage Park for just $10. There was a pumpkin patch, games, inflatable’s which kept the children busy! Also the cake & pie auction and cupcake walk was to help to raise money for the Hardee Help Center.

Sponsored by Peace River Electric Cooperative, they sold hotdogs for one dollar to benefit a charity in Hardee County. Folks still could get other types of food from the many restaurants on Main Street which will stay open late for Friday Night Live participants. Downtown retail stores also remained open for parents who are looking to spend some time planning for the upcoming holiday season.

This community fall festival was planned by the Hardee County Ministerial Association who provided a safe, Christian alternative to Halloween by having game booths operated by volunteers from the many Christian ministries and local organizations in Hardee County.
