The Brooksville Pulling Association hosted Truck & Tractor Pulls in Wauchula this past weekend and what a show it was. When you think of trucks and tractors in Hardee County you don’t think much about it right, because we are accustom to seeing them all the time on the roads or fields. Well these trucks and tractors aren’t your grandfather’s trucks or tractors
“These tractors are up to 2500 horse power, trucks 3000 horse power. There is a world of technology here," said Event organizer Richard Klimas.
The Brooksville Pulling Association partnered up with the Hardee FFA & 4-H Club as a fund raiser for these fine organizations.
The Hardee FFA Organization is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership,
personal growth and career success through agricultural education. The organization operated the concession stand and pretty much sold out of everything they did a great job. I don’t think they anticipated so many people showing up for this event.
There were some 300 to 500 other people in attendance to watch state of the art tractors and trucks from all over the country compete in the 1st. bi - annual pull. It was an exciting event I really enjoyed it.
I spoke with Mr. Richard Klimas and he said they want to come back this November and do a second Truck & Tractor pull. He also said he is looking for sponsors who want to for the upcoming November pulls. For more information you can call: (352) 585-9775 or e-mail: mail@brooksvillepulling.com
