October 20, 2012 Bowling Green, Florida it’s the Bowling Green Country Club Presents “CHARITY BAZAAR” to benefit the American Cancer Society of Hardee County. Things got started as balloons were placed outside the BG Country Club; folks came in to support the BG Country Club to raise money for the American Cancer Society of Hardee County.
At the event there was face painting, Bounce House for the little ones, food, prizes, Cancer information pamphlets, Karaoke contest, and more. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month so to keep in the spirit of Breast Cancer Awareness there was a PINK BRA Fashion show and the girls be-dazzled there pink bras to get the most votes and/or money as tey showed off their bras.
Some of the folks came up to the stage and put money in those bras which raised money to help and find a Cure for Breast Cancer so that women can more birthdays. Later that evening they had the band “The Pick Up Artist” who performed Rock and Country music. Also that evening they were raffling off prizes. Folks throughout the event bought tickets for some great prizes and for a good cause.
Folks also donated and fill out the “Relay For Life” stars or moon cards that will be posted on the walls of the club. Special thanks to local businesses who donated items to the raffle. Those businesses include: The Panda Restaurant, Vision ACE Hardware, Johnny’s Auction House, Pure Magic Ice Cream, Babcock Home Furniture & More, Subway, Smokin Joe’s, Hardee Animal Clinic, Sweetbay Supermarket, Taco Express, T-N-T Inc., Nail Logic, Torrey Oaks Golf Course, Pizza Hut, Winn – Dixie, and John’s Drive In Restaurant. And special thanks for Alisha and Sheila of the Bowling Green County Club for putting on this great event which brings awareness about cancer to the folks in Hardee County. I think this event will be an annual event with more fun and excitement to come.
