Saturday January 12, 2013 Paynes Creek Historic State Park Hosted the 1st. Annual Kick off 2013 with Safety event. Located in Bowling Green Florida. Paynes Creek Historic Park was the place to be for all things safe the organizers wanted to help Hardee County residents kick off the new year with safety in mind. They had some help from our local and state agencies to showed how important safety is in our every day life. At the event was the AeroMed2 Helicopter with the pilot and nurse team who showed us all the vital life saving equipment they carry on board. The Hardee County Police Cadets were on hand
handing out literature on Neighborhood Crime Watch,Bicycle Safety, Talking To Children About Strangers, Distracted Driving, Gun Awareness and Bias-Based Profiling. The Florida Fish Wildlife Conservation Commission was on hand handing out brochure on boat safety, Fishing education, Hunting education. The American Red Cross, ACT American Compliance Technologies Response Team, Scientist, Engineers they help keep the environment clean, Hardee County Emergency Management, Hardee Health Department The Tobacco Free Partnership’s, Hardee Correctional Institute bloodhound dog demonstrations, The State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection showed us there environmental suits and information on the how to keep the environment clean, BUBBA Seat Belt Safety Awareness was on hand they informed us on the importance of buckling up through the tragedy of their sons who lost their lives because they did not buckle up.
